What to expect on our Walking Holidays
What sort of holidays? read more...

Our holidays offer relaxed walking through the most scenic and beautiful countries in the world. On a walking holiday you should expect to see more, including the ‘sights’ of an area. We usually begin at about 9.15am, stop for a picnic lunch at around 1.00pm and return to the hotel at about 3.30pm, after which there is usually enough time for a siesta or a stroll around the town. You should expect to arrive back at the hotel each afternoon with an hour or two to relax with a drink or stroll around the town before meeting for dinner, usually around 7.30pm.
Our holiday planner, with its full and accurate descriptions of each day’s walking, ensures people know exactly what to expect and so choose the right holiday for them.
There is no ‘average group’. Our group combinations are endless with singles, couples and groups of friends, from all walks of life. Our holidays tend to attract like-minded people who share similar tastes and interests.
Fly from an airport near you
You can fly from an airport near you, rather than from London. We will search and book your flight from an airport that is most convenient for you. Let us know your preferred airport and we will check the airlines with the most suitable flight times, so they align with the group transfers. Additional fees will apply. Please call us to discuss your preferred holiday and we will talk you through the available options to find the flights that best suit you.
Our flights
We use London as our preferred departure point with several airports available to choose the best flight times, so we arrive at our hotel in time to relax and have a look around before our evening meal. The flight includes transfers to/from the hotel. We provide ‘land only’ prices for your convenience which do not include hotel transfers.
What to bring

Bring the clothes and footwear you feel most comfortable wearing for everyday walking, along with a change of clothing for the evenings – casual/informal smart.
We suggest lightweight summer walking boots with good ankle support, a sufficiently sized daypack suitable to carry waterproof clothing, camera, jumper, etc.
If you are used to using a walking pole then we recommend bringing it along with you.
And money – your only expenses will be for picnic lunches along with any drinks or other snacks before or after dinner, local transport and presents to take home!
Local transport payments
The cost of the walking holiday does not include a local transport payment. The local transport cost is indicated on each holiday specifying approximately how much it will cost. The local payment is collected during your holiday and is compulsory, it provides an efficient way for us to fund local expenses, saving on overheads and thus keeping the overall cost of the holiday to a minimum. This cost will be used for any goods or services used to provide the holiday.
