Your Questions answered

Who will I meet on a guided walk?

You will meet people of all ages, singles couples, relatives, groups of friends, all of which enjoy the same interest as you!

I’m travelling on my own - Can I go?
Yes, most of our groups vary with singles, couples, relatives, pairs of friends.
You’ll have plenty to chat about, and on return you would have shared lots of
experiences and have made some new friends too!

Where will I stay?

The majority of our stays are at good quality hotels on half board basis which we have tried and tested ourselves. There are opportunities to dine out some evenings to various restaurants to sample the local cuisine.  On the holidays where we stay at B&B’s in towns and cities, there are usually a vast choice of places to eat out.

What will the food be like?

On all our holidays we encourage to get a taste of the local cuisine so you have a feel for the country you are travelling in. There are opportunities to dine in various places and it really depends how adventurous your palet is!

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring suitable clothing and footwear.  Here is a guideline of what you may wish to take:
Boots, gaiters, socks, jacket, waterproofs, jumper, hat, water bottle, gloves, shorts, t-shirts, trousers, shirts, walking pole, daybag, sit mat, sunscreen, sunglasses, personal first aid kit, insect repellent, camera, binoculars.

How do I get to the starting place?

As a UK based customer you will receive your final joining instructions after full payment. Your meeting place will be at the airport where you will be met by our guides and introduced to other members of the group, unless we have organised transport to the departing airport.

Do I need Travel Insurance?

Yes, it is essential that you have this. It needs to cover cancellation, loss/theft of personal possessions, and/or money, medical expenses, which should all be valid for the region that you are travelling in. If you have multi-trip travel insurance you will need to check its validity for the destination and trip dates you have selected.

We recommend travel insurance offered by Direct Travel Insurance, Shelley House, High Street, Steyning, West Sussex, BM44 3RD.  The policy is underwritten by AxA Insurance (UK) Plc.

To arrange this you can simply call Direct Travel Insurance on 0845 605 2500 or email info@direct-travel.co.uk or click on the above link.
